It is unfortunate that most school systems are currently functioning well below the actual needs of their students. Poor teaching, social promotion, and a focus on state tests instead of simply teaching math has led to a rapid decline in math aptitude for our students. The world is rapidly surpassing the United States in performance in key subjects.

Unlike many subjects taught in school, math directly builds one skill upon another and if a skill is missed or misunderstood a student is doomed to struggle with more advanced skills because they rely upon the assumption that the student understood the individual building blocks that comprise the new skills. Our schools are poorly designed to handle students who have fallen behind for one reason or another and whether it was poor teaching or poor attentiveness by the student doesn't matter once the skills are missed.

What We Do

Simply put, most people who struggle with math do not have to. Most people are just missing some key skills that prevent them from being able to be successful in math. The problem is that schools are poorly equipped to

 1) evaluate where YOUR student has gaps and

 2) deal with those gaps

If a student is in algebra and has trouble working with fractions, the classroom is not going to stop teaching algebra to teach your child fractions at the expense of everyone else. Private tutors can be very expensive exceeding $20/hr for a skilled one and then you are limited to the availability of the tutor.

Unlike other programs, our service is not focused upon guaranteeing how fast you can do math problems, instead we focus on making sure you KNOW how to do math. Anyone can obtain speed by practicing known skills, but you can't practice if you don't know how to do them. We focus on proficiency and you will see your growth as you move from grade level to grade level filling in the gaps in your knowledge.

Everyone doesn't need to learn everything, we diagnose what you know and what you don't know and then focus your time on filling in the gaps.
